I’ll be chairing the Focus Session "Planetary Flows in Climate" at the American Physical Society’s Division of Fluid Dynamics meeting (in-person!). Abstract submission is now open.

74th Annual Meeting of the American Physical Society Division of Fluid Dynamics will be in-person! It will take place on November 21-23, 2021 in the Phoenix Convention Center. Abstract submission is now open! I’ll be chairing Focused Session "Planetary Flows in Climate" that highlights new physical insights fluid dynamicists can bring to climate science.
Our focus session is sponsored by the Topical Group on the Physics of Climate (GPC).

We invite contributions on topics that seek a better understanding of fluid dynamics processes in the climate system with analog laboratory experiments, physics-based models, or data-driven models. The submission deadline is August 2, 2021.
