 June 2023:

Our paper Asymptotic Self-Similar Blow-Up Profile for Three-Dimensional Axisymmetric Euler Equations Using Neural Networksby postdoc Yongji Wang in collaboration with Tristan Buckmaster and Javier Gómez-Serrano is now published in Physical Review Letters. Whether 3 dimensional incompressible Euler equations can blow up in finite times is a century-old open problem. We showed that deep learning can shed new light to this mystery via PDE-constrained neural networks. Check out this wonderful Quanta article Deep Learning Poised to ‘Blow Up’ Famed Fluid Equations that features our work.
